Philippines has a saying that many Filipinos are familiar with, "Mabuhay!"

It means "to live" or "life." And Anderson Cooper, a U.S. CNN news broadcaster, saw this first hand when he went to cover the story of the typhoon Haiyan's aftermath at Tacloban.

He broadcasted a sincere truth about Filipinos in which I'm proud to say was seen and recognized. It's not just the heart of the Filipino, the question is more like, "What makes the heart of the Filipino?" I truly believe that it's the Filipino's faith in God that helped them overcome this trial. The Philippines overall has seen struggle and hardship and family and friends unite, because God is the center of their hearts.

Day 5

Sorry for the late posts... We've been busy packing donations together, that I didn't realize it's been two days since I created this page for people to go to for updates. I fobgbthinknive linked this page yet to the original page yet do I apologize.

Anyhow, here are a few updates:

#1 CNN Live at Tacloban:

Our very own news broadcaster that's familiar to us is Anderson Cooper.

CNN now on coverage and at Tacloban... Day 5 (11/13) and still relief can't come fast enough due to the severity of the location. It's not knowing how to start, the question is WHERE and WHICH part of the area do we start? Without communication, survivors walk wondering where their spouse and children are... Some find them and lay next to their dead bodies until someone can help carry them away.

We have supplies but even the airport is badly ruined and the roadways to get anywhere is blocked by debris and dead bodies... No vehicles - just walking... Three miles from each direction and they can find people huddled below bits and pieces of things they can use to put over their heads. Water is short and food is hard to find...

It's hard to believe that at DAY 5, the filipino government has barely set foot to start moving things aside. Perhaps it's because the Filipinos are survivors and believers... If there's a will, there's a way. And when that happens, God is going to pour so much blessings and the people will be back on their feet again.
